Following the green pilots's wheel from US Hwy 151 you will turn off at Dickeyville. The Great River Road/National Scenic Byway begins at this point. You will now be driving on Hwy 133/61.
Dickeyville is a thriving community with an ever increasing population of 1,156 citizens because of the location being close to Dubuque. In addition, twenty minutes north to University of Wisconsin - Platteville & forty five minutes to Lands End of Dodgeville following US/Hwy 151 North.
Visitor information is available at the two service stations, two motels, bank, post office, chiropractic office,lumberyard, restaurant, two establishments with daily specials, antiques barn, flower shop & small equipment dealers.
Special interest in Dickeyville is the Dickeyville Grotto located at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 305 W Main St., in the center of the village. This remarkable display has attracted visitors from all over the world for many years. Tour information in available at the gift shop on the grounds. |
