The mighty bluffs & flowing waters of the Mssissippi River are also home to a large concentration of the magnificent birds. Those looking for one of the nation's most popular eagle viewing sites will want to head to the waters near Lock & Dam number 10 in Cassville. Clear, crisp winter mornings offer the best time to see the eagles at their most active. The eagles soar across the sky before swooping down to the flowing waters to catch their prey. Those looking to get the best views of the eagles can head to Riverside Park or the scenic overlooks of Nelson Dewey State Park.
